Root Design offers a complete service, from initial conception, through design process, to manufacturing drawings and bill of materials.
Calling upon our background in system design and manufacture, to ensure an efficient design, for manufacture, build and ease of maintenance.
With a flexible work approach. Root Design is able to work as part of a client’s team or as a stand-alone resource. Offering design and development thought out the entire life of a project or targeted support for a specific task.
System upgrades / re-tooling
Enabling customers to keep equipment in use for longer. We design upgrades for new product types. System upgrades for more efficient operation, and specify and design modifications to replace obsolete components with the latest technology.
Paper to CAD
Create a CAD backup of legacy paper drawings, convert imperial stock sizes and threads to metric. Build a full set 3D models and assemblies and produce detail drawings and Bill of Materials for manufacture.
Files can be saved in CAD file formats or pdf as required.
Reverse engineering.
Record in-house research and development projects. Create CAD files of existing equipment for upgrading and or re-tooling. Produce models of equipment / production lines for planning and training.
Design & build
Root Design also offers a design and build service. We can design, build and develop robot grippers and small automation projects. Integrate a robot into an existing process, upgrade or retool existing equipment.
